Summary

Minutes relating widening of canal at Ryeford Saw Mills in 1864 showed it was carried out by Messrs Ford Bros.
Damage to Dudbridge Wharf gates caused by trailer attached to lorry. Incident witnessed by Company’s wharfinger. He called to driver who did not hear, as he went on without taking any notice. Messrs Thatcham Road Transport Services.
Clerk purchased T&S Canal plant, etc, from Gloucestershire County Council for £30.
Two chains of towpath against the Frome at Ryeford sinking in to the river. Repairs authorised.

[1934 May] Committee Meeting held at Wallbridge on Wednesday the 16^th day of May 1934 @ 4 o'clock pm
Present: W R Bloxam, Henry R Hooper, Marcus Stewart.
Only three Members of the Committee being present there was no quorum but there being some matters requiring immediate attention it was decided to proceed with them subject to confirmation by the next Committee.
Stonehouse premises, Messrs Ward & Son Ltd
It was reported that Messrs Ward & Sons Ltd had been given permission to retain possession until the 24^th June next, and had given an undertaking to give vacant possession on that date.
Canal Association, Bridges
A letter from the Association was read statin that no definite form of Notice had yet been decided upon.
Ryeford Saw Mills C^oy Messrs Workmen: Towing path next the Saw Mills
The Chairman read the Minutes relating to the widening of the Canal at this place in 1864, after discussion the Committee directed the Clerk to inform Messrs Workmen that the work referred to was carried out by Messrs Ford Bros in the year 1864 and that the negotiations relating thereto are recorded in the Company's Minute Book.
Dudbridge Wharf Gates, Messrs Thatcham Road Transport Services
The Clerk was instructed to reply to Messrs Thatcham's letter of 10^th May that the damage to the gates was caused by the trailer attached to the lorry as it was leaving the Wharf and that the incident was witnessed by the Company's Wharfinger who called to the driver who apparently did not hear as he went on without taking any notice.
Dudbridge Mills, Messrs Redler Patents, Water supply
The Clerk was direct to see Messrs Redler Patents.
Thames and Severn Canal
The Clerk reported that he had purchased certain plant and other material from the Gloucestershire County Council for an agreed price of £30. A cheque was Ordered to be drawn in favour of the County Council.
Canal Towing path next the Frome at Ryeford
The Clerk reported that about two chains of the towing path against the Frome was gradually sinking into the river, and should be made good. The work was authorized and to proceed as soon as possible.
Pleasure boat on the Canal, M^r Townsend
The Clerk was directed to obtain further particulars.
