To County Surveyor (E S Sinnott)
Gloucester

Summary

Newtown Wharf. This wharf was repaired at the request of the late Mr Ratcliffe who was told that the only material we had were brick ends and ashes. He promised to run the roller over but owing to his illness this was not done. My men are now at work in the River Frome carrying out some work required by the Commissioners of Sewers. After this is complete I will see what can be done and will contact you again.
