The Committee of the Stroudwater Canal Navigation will be obliged to you to send them the price of a four Horse & a Six Horse power Boat Steam Engine. with all the apparatus compleat for excavating the mud out of their Canal. The Canal is about six feet deep, thirty foot wide at the bottom and forty two at the top at the level gage, the muse to be excavated is from two to three feet deep. Which therefore of the above Engines should you recommend for the purpose? An Early reply to these queries, in a letter addressed to me will oblige
