Dear Sir,
Your letter of the 6^th inst. was before my Committee at their last Meeting & I was instructed to inform you that every effort is being made to open the Canal for traffic at the earliest possible moment but that the Company cannot accept any responsibility for any loss incurred (?) it being closed.
