Unable at present to let you know amount of Company's claim. Need to insert dam will increase cost

_Bristol Road Lock_
With reference to the damage caused to this Lock I am unable at present to let you know the amound to the Company's claim.
The Company has been advised that to enable it to empty the pound it is necessary to have a dam placed across the Canal above the Aqueduct and this will of course occasion additional expense. but we are having it done as economically as possible.
