Dear Sirs,
Adverting to our conversation over the 'Phone yesterday, we will do our best to pass traffic by the 10th inst,, of course it must be clearly understood that we cannot undertake to promise you anything as conditions are entirely outside our control, but, have and are doing all we can to expedite the work which is in hand in order to bring about a resumption of traffic at the earliest possible moment.
Of course you will understand that I am unable to guarantee you anything.
