The Proposalls of Edmund Lingard Engineer of Minworth near Coleshill in the County of Warwick for Surveying and Managing the works of the Stroudwater Canal Navigation till Compleated Devouting the whole of my time to the said Works for the Sum of three Hundred Pounds and to be allowed reasonable expences when sent out from the said works upon the Business of the Navigation and do hereby engage that the said Navigation shall be finished by Michalmas one Thousand seven hundred and seventy eight in Case there is no Stop for want of Land or Materials.
