Making one million bricks in Mr Cook's meadow at 12s/1000
The Proposal of Michael Vaughan Brick-maker.
To the Gentlemen Proprietors of the Stroud-Water Navigation Viz,
If the Company will supply him with Coals, Sand, and other Materials at the same price as at Bristol Road, and stand to all Land Carriage for the same, he will engage to make one Million of strong useful Bricks more or less in the Course of next Summer at 12 Shillings per Thousand in Mr Cook's Meadow.
To be accounted for as soon as burnt, drawed, and stacked.
NB, If the Bottom of the Pit should required a Level must rely on your honour should it prove more expensive than I expect.
