A proposal for undertaking the Carpenter's Work from the Gross Timber of the Several Locks Which are to be Erected upon the Stroud Water Navigation exclusive of the Second Lock at Cheppenhams plat and the two Locks above Ebley.
The uper & Lower platforms of each Lock for Sixpence per Superficial foot. Measuring the extent of the Length of the Sills & Breadth of the Sheeting in that to include everything but the Gates.
to Make hang & Complete the Gates of the Said Locks for one Shilling per Superficial foot that is the Contents of one Sde of each Gate.
The Company to find all Materials and Carriage and keep the Locks Clean While the Gates are hanging.
the Masons to fitt the Heels and Do all the other Masons Work that is Required when the Gate is handing and uper Clowes fixing,
The Company to find me and Men Employ at some other Work if we should be Hindered for Want of Timber or any other Casualty that is not my neglect.
To be paid for every Job of Carpenters Work & Sawing that is not in my Proposal every fortnight if required not to exceed a Month and every thing that is in the Proposal to be Settled when each Lock is Completed and to Receive Ten Shillings & Sixpence per Week for each man employed upon the Work as part of Payment.
