An Estimate for Building a Stone Lock at Dudbridge Rise 9 feet.
To find Stone, Carrage, Morter, Workmanship & Every kind of Material to Compleat the Said Lock in agreed Substantial Workman like manner for the Sum of £500..0..0.
In Manner following Viz:
The face Walls with good Range Work from Hampton Common.
The Coping & Square Quoins from D^o.
The Backing from Rodbrough & Selsley Hill Quarries.
The Hollow Quoins from Hanham.
The Lime from Crumwell.
The thickness of Walls in every respect the same as the Brick Locks.
The Sand for Makeing Morter for the (?) Work from Severn.
The Punning & Extra Labour for the Whole Sum of £24.
To Compleat the Lock as above (Exclusive of Line & y^e Extra Work) for 455^£..5..0.
The Company to be at y^e Expense of digging the foundation & Keeping the Lock Clear of Water & also to find Scaffolding or Otherwise to alow ten pounds for the Same.
