Summary

Building a stone bridge at Dudbridge for £135

Proposal for Building a Strong Stone Bridge at Dudbridge of the same Dimensions of the Bridge at Bristol Road in a substantial and workmanlike manner to be good (?) work, Jn^o Chambers, Robert Chambers & Will^m Cook.
The undertakers to raise the Ragstone for Building the side Walls up to y^e Water & backing, the s^d Ragstone to be found by the Company.
Above the Water & the Crown of the Arch & Fence Walls of good Weather Stone to be found by the undertakers, the (?) to be found by the Company, the Scaffolding to be found by the undertakers, the Lime & Grit to be found by the Company & also the Halling of Lime, Grit & Stone.
The Foundation to be dug out by the Company.
The mortar to be made by the undertakers.
The s^d undertakers apprehend they can find the Weather Stone, raise the Rag Stone & all the Workmanship of Building, etc, agreeable to the Dimensions that shall be given them - the Company finding Halling, etc, etc, as before mentioned for the Sum of £135 including the Wign Walls of the Towing path to be at least 10 Foot at each end if required.

Notes

On 5 Feb 1778, Minute Book 1 page 187 records that William Franklin was asked to build the bridge for £200.
