Canal Bridges. Meeting with County Surveyor and County Clerk. Council would not consider taking over canal. Concerned with improvement of certain bridges carrying much traffic.
Sewer crossing canal at Ryeford and Stonehouse. Proposed surface water sewer to canal at Stonehouse. Capital payment of £25 for each crossing. Surface water inlet too large for safety of canal banks. G W Morton Ball to write to Engineers.
Eastington Yard. Rates. Letter from rating officer. Graving Dock derelict and unusable. Buildings include a seldom used Carpenter’s and a Blacksmith’s Shop and a store.
Dudbridge Lock Cottage. Tenant to vacate cottage 29 September. W McEvoy to take tenancy.
