In reference to your Letter of the 25th Inst I beg to say that the Canal Company understand from Joseph Small that the Castings Ordered by Him of you are an upright Shaft, an underground Shaft, 4 Pully Wheels, 2 Cheeks for carrying Cogwheels, & One Grooved Barrell for the Chain to work on; to be cast from the Models of the Crane erected for Messrs Price & Washburn of Gloucester. I will thank you to let me know by return of post (for the satisfaction of the Company) the prices per Cwt & probable weight of the several Castings - to be delivered free of Carriage & at Dudbridge Wharf on this Canal; and on receipt of your Letter I will shortly reply
