The Stroudwater Canal Company proposed to lease tolls of Company between Stroud and Brimscombe. The Committee’s opinion was that a partial lease of the Company’s tolls was inexpedient. A joint revision of tolls should be decided upon.
The Committee having considered the preservation of the Burford Coal Trade after the opening of the Oxford, Worcester and Wolverhampton Railway. Tonnage on coal landed at Lechlade Wharf should be reduced from 2/9d to 1/5d, with conditions.
