Re Mr Smith’s proposition to lease Canal, Company not empowered to lease Canal.
Re Severn and Wye Railway and Canal Company’s Bill. House of Lords decided that neither Company nor Stroudwater Company nor mill owners had any locus standi. Mill owners decided to start opposition in the Commons. Company to contribute to joint fund to continue opposition. Messrs Dorrington & Co to continue to act to settle the clauses.
