Compelled to again protest against gross violation of all common dealing in respect of the William, Jo[seph] Hart Master & the Patriot, William Davis Master. Captain applied to your Mr Brooks for a berth under the shoot. Not immediately available so loaded from a heap of rubbish. When Patriot arrived she was able to load under shoot so quality of coal differed, to detriment of the Company. Requires investigation on your part & if Hart given me false information will discontinue to employ him.
