Summary

Received coal which looks better than before but still not as good being soft and creating great deal of culm which renders it unsaleable.
Custom House papers specify one less cart than quantity charged for. Explain. Great obstacle to increase in your trade is deficiency in weight arising from lightness of quality of your coal as importer buys by measure but sells by weight.
Season for malting is past not think much sale up canal until autumn as few dealers choosing to bear heavy stocks with small profit.
