I have placed your letter of the 14 October before the committee. I am not allowed to make any drawback on your wheat brought to Ebley until the conditions of the arrangement by importing 2000 tons per annum have been completed. It is only on this distinct understanding ..that the drawback of 5d per ton will be allowed on the present charge of 1s 4d. I cannot allow the drawback from your quarterly account.
