Continuation of 40: Printed circular of Tonnage Rates on T&S and Stroudwater canals
THAMES AND SEVERN CANAL NAVIGATION
ON ALL GRAIN carried from or beyond the Junction of the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal with the Stroudwater Canal to Cirencester, to 2.s 9¼d per ton, being 2d per ton per mile in lieu of 3d as heretofore.
ON OATS carried from or beyond the Junction of the Gloucester and Berkeley Canal with the Stroudwater Canal to or beyond Even Swindon, on the Wilts & Berks Canal, or to or beyond Radcot, on the River Thames, to 1½d per ton per mile, leaving the tonnage payable in the first case 2s 6½d per ton, and in the latter case 3s 7d per ton.
ON SLATES from 3d per ton per mile to 2d per ton per mile..
ON ALL ARTICLES brought in Vessels whose immediately preceding voyage was Coal or Goods to or beyond the place whence such articles were brought, to 1½d per ton per mile for a distance of not less than 10 miles, but that not more than 3s per ton be charged for any distance.
STROUDWATER NAVIGATION
ON ALL COAL delivered below Radcot Bridge, on the River Thames, or beyond Even Swindon, on the Wilts & Berks Canal, 4d per ton.
ON SALT delivered at or beyond Newbridge, on the River Thames, or beyond Swindon Wharf, on the Wilts & Berks Canal, 4d per ton.
ON MANURE SALT to any place beyond the limits (five miles from the Canal) prescribed by the Act for charging tonnage for the same, 6d per mile,
ON ALL SLATES delivered at or beyond Cirencester, 4d per ton .
ON ALL GRAIN brought from or beyond the Junction of this Canal with the Gloucester & Berkeley Canal and delivered to or beyond Cirencester, 4d per ton.
ON ALL ARTICLES now chargeable with a tonnage rate of 1s per ton, brought from any place beyond the eastern end of the Thames & Severn Canal tunnel, in Vessels whose proceeding cargo on their up voyage passed through this Navigation, and shall be delivered at or beyond the Junction aforesaid, 6d per ton:- and
ON ALL ARTICLES now chargeable with a tonnage rate of 8d per Ton under similar circumstances, 2d per ton under the same provision.
