Ensure that closets at Ryeford don't leak into canal above overflow to stream where your boys bathe
You told me a short time ago that you had made certain arrangements with those people whose closets emptied into the canal so as to give you power to remedy any nuisance arising therefrom, if the closets at the cottages and Mr Price’s near the Ryeford swing bridge are within your district. I should be glad if you would kindly have a look at the same and see what you can do. They are not very far from your bathing place and the overflow from the same runs down with the stream in which your boys bathe. Our men will commence to clean the canal at Stonehouse on Wednesday next.
