Sir,
I have written to Thomas Lewis telling him that he need not come any further than the top of the five locks. You had better inform Peter Daniels that he must oil & keep his paddles in order & do them every week. Lewis can do the five locks this time - and when Sillington has done his ditching he mast attend to them & Lewi to the Shallow lock and the Bottom Lock at Framilode. I think the Berkeley Cana Co keep the Junction Lock in order. Get me ? list of stores you will require. I shall be at your place on Monday morning about 10 a.m. when you can go on to Framilode with me.
Yours truly
Wm James Snape
Mr Hy Fallows
