At a General Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn Stroud on Wednesday last I was directed to apply to you for the payment of the Sum of £42, being a debt due from the Gloster & Berkeley Canal Co to the Stroudwater Navitation Compy, the former Company having impeded the Navigation of the Stroudwater Canal for eight days, Viz the 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, 26th, 28th & 29th of February last at £5.5.0 per day. Your remitting the above sum as early as possible (our half Yearly dividend being ordered to be paid on the 1st day of May next) will oblige.
