You are fined for infringement as set out. Pay up or a summons will be sent and the full penalties enforced. Note. Not empowered by the Act to put on a lesser fine.

Sir,
I beg to inform you that you are fined 5/- for tying up your barge to the stud on the balance pole of the inside top gate at Pike Lock & also by obstructing the navigation by leaving your barge improperly tied up for the night of the 6^th Sept last. If the fine is not paid by the 25^th Set a Summons will be taken out & the full penalties enforced which will be considerable.
