Summary

The cloughs at Wheatenhurst Lock not finished for lack of stone.
Mr Grazebrook has been with Mr Ellis-James and Christopher Gardner on behalf of Mrs Ball but has come to no agreement about land. Delegation to meet Mr Gardner next day to treat with him for Mrs Balls land.
A barge load of stone brought from Hanham by Deague weighs 51 tons and upwards.
Mr Keck desired to purchase some oak timber in Worcestershire.
Messrs Lane & Jepson’s bill to be paid, and at the same time they are to deliver all papers in their possession relative to the Navigation to Mr Grazebrook, and that Mr Jepson be desired to pay the arrears on his shares.
Farmer Kersey’s horse be purchased for 15 guineas, after a few days trial.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 6^th Day of March 1777
Present: Joseph Wathen, Durley Wintle, Robert Ellis, John Hollings, William Knight, Benjamin Grazedbrook, Freame Arundell, Thomas Baylis, James Winchcombe.
Read the Minutes of the Last Meeting.
M^r Lingard Reported that he had viewed the Rick of Hay at Ebley belonging to M^r J. Wathen & Co, that it has Receiv'd dome damage by the Wett getting into it. It is agree'd that M^r J. Wathen do allow for what damage shall be estimated by M^r Lingard.
M^r Lingard has not yet treated with Farmer Kersey for his Horse.
M^r Lingard Reported that the Bank in Saul Field is raising by Perry and Gleave, and will soon be finished.
Our Clerk delivered an Account of the Coals left at M^r Kings, specifying the Quantity used for Brick, and what has been Sold.

M^r B: Grazebrook Reported that he has been with M^r Ellis James and also with M^r Christopher Gardner in behalf of M^rs Ball, but had come to no agreement with either for the Lands.
J: Grazebrook has wrote to George Oakes, to bring down a Barge Load of Oak Timber agreeable to M^r Pashley's directions.
A Barge Load of Stone brought by Deage, from Hanham weigh'd 51 Ton & upwards.
Ordered that M^r Keck be desired to purchase some Oak Timber in Worcestershire etc for the use of the Company at the best Terms he can.
Ordered that Mess^rs Lane & Jepson's Bill be paid, and at the same time that they deliver all the papers in their possession relative to the Navigation to M^r Grazebrook, and that M^r Jepson be desired to pay his arrears on his Share.
Ordered that Mess^rs Wathen, Winchcombe & Grazebrook be desired to wait on M^r C: Gardner tomorrow morning at 10 o Clock to treat with him for M^rs Balls Land.
Ordered that M^r R^d Georges Bill be paid amounting to the Sum of £71..18..8 ~~ also ordered M^r Jn^o Hartshornes Bill be paid amounting to £32..2..6.
Ordered that M^r Tho^s Barnard be paid on Acc^t £50.
Ordered that Jn^o Organ of Frampton be desired to attend at the next Meeting.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Three Hundred Pounds.
Ordered that Farmer Kersey's Horse be purchased at fifteen Guineas upon Conditions that we have him on trial for a few Days, and if not approved to be returned.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 20^th Instant at four of the Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
