Advertisement to be placed in Gloucester Journal offering 10 guineas reward for information on who stole the lock on the swivel bridge on 3rd September.
Mr Lingard to enter in a book details of work completed each day.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 4^th Day of September 1777
Present: James Winchcombe, John Hollings, Joseph Wathen, Durley Wintle, Robert Ellis, Benjamin Grazebrook, Thomas Baylis.

M^r Keck hath not Viewed M^r Prices Timber.
M^r Colbrone is desired to write to M^r Price for the perform his Contract immediately for finding Timber for the Locks, or he has Orderes to Oblige him.
M^r Andrews hath agree'd to meet M^r Grazebrook on the line of the Navigation to Settle for his Lands.
M^r Barnard agrees to Levell the Ground in M^r Martins Fields, delivering the Surplus of Clay and Rubbish Bricks to the Bank, and to pay for his Tresspass.
Complaint to be made to M^r Bough that the Mortar is very bad, and must be altered.
M^r King hath promised to give three or four Days Notice soon, that the Mill Pond, etc, may be cleared.
Ordered that M^r Beswick be paid no more Money, till he has attended the Committee. ~~ Ordered that M^r Jn^o Pashley be immediatel discharged.
M^r Pashley hath paid Jos: Grazebrook the Money received for the Tonnage.
M^r Lingard Reported that the water at Chippenhams Platt is turned into the Cutt. ~~ It is Ordered to lett M^r James's Water into the Cutt on Sundy next, and that he attends the same, and examine the Levell that Waste, and Report it to the next Meeting.
The Timber is no Yet arrived from Monmouth.
Ordered that M^r Smith do Oblidge the Person that put the Sheeting Planks for a Fence on Nathaniel Davis's Land to bring them back to the work, or that he be discharged from his employ, for making a Report to the Committee that M^r Davis took the same and a prosecution having been Ordered for it by our Clerk.
Ordered that M^r Dudbridge Keene be apply'd to, for to finish the Board of Rules to be observed on the Navigation immediately.
Ordered that an advertisement be inserted in the next Glocester Journal offering a reward of Ten Guineas on Conviction of the person who Stole the Lock from the Swivell Bridge on Monday the 3^d Instant.
Ordered that M^r Lingard do enter in a Book the work done dayly by our Team, and deliver it every Meeting of the Committee.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursdy the 11^th Instant at 4 o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
