Mr Franklin ordered to build a stone lock adjoining the bridge he is now building at Dudbridge.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 21^st Day of July 1778
Present: Joseph Wathen, Ben^n Grazebrook, John Hollings, John Allaway, Freame Arundell.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
No Accout of M^r Kings Damages Yet Received.
Ordered that our Clerk do waite on M^r Jn^o Hawker for the Expenses attending the Damages Committed by Pierce & Clissold at Lodgmore amounting to the Sum of £5..12..10.
Ordered that M^r Franklin do Build a Stone Lock adjoining to the Bridge he is now Building at Dudbridge, And that M^r B: Grazebrook do prepare an Article for that purpose under the forfeiture of One Hundred Pounds, to be executed at our next Meeting.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do forward the Brickwork of the Navigation as fast as possible.
Ordered that M^r Lane be desired to write to M^r Christopher Gardner for the Title of M^rs Balls Land, in order to make the Conveyance of the Banks, Brick Yards, etc.
Our Clerk produced an Account of M^r John Kemmetts, the Consideration of which is deferr'd to a future Meeting.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook & Ew^d Keene do attend the Sale of Oak Timber at Newnham, and to purchase the same, in case it can be bought on reasonable terms.
Ordered that M^r B: Grazebrook do Settle with M^r Lane for M^r Walbanks Land & Damages in Pool Field.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 30^th Instant at five o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
