Summary

Mr Lane to be asked for copy of agreement with Mr Halliday Phillips in order that they may be prepared to defend the action commenced by Mr Phillips.
The Navigation should be opened to Stroud on Thursday 22 July and the same be inserted as an article of news in the Gloucester Journal the first and second weeks of July, also that circular letters be printed and sent to each proprietor and to such other Gentlemen agreeable to a list made out by the committee.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George in Stroud on Thursday the 17^th Day of June 1779
Present: Thomas Hayes, John Hollings, Joseph Wathen, Ben^m Grazebrook, William Knight, Kames Dallaway, Thomas Baylis, Thomas White.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Order relative to M^r Chances Posts and Railes.
Mess^rs Wathen and Grazebrook reported, that they have waited on M^r Playne, and have Obtained his Consent for Cutting off the Nook in his Garden necessary for widening the Towing Path at Walbridge. Ordered that the same be sett about imediately.
The Horses and Wagon are advertised pursuant to the Order of the last Meeting.
Ordered that our Clerk do waite on Mess^rs Lane & Jepson and give them the particulars of M^r Baxters Land in Order that a Conveyance of the same may be drawn. ~~ Also to furish them with a Copy of our agreement with M^r Holliday Phillips in order that they may be prepared to defend an Action commenced by M^r Phillips.
Ordered that the Navigation be Opened to Stroud on Thursday the 22^d of July next, and that the same be inserted as an Article of news in the Gloucester Journal the first and second weeks in July, also that Circular Letters be printed and Sent to each Proprietor, and to such other Gentlemen agreeable to a List made out by the Committee.
Adjourned this Meeting to Friday the 25^th Instanct at three o Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
