Summary

Every pleasure boat passing any of the locks do pay 20s (except the Company barge) and that the same be advertised in the Gloucester Journal.
No person whatever do make use of the Company’s barge without a ticket signed by three of the committee, which ticket shall be delivered to our clerk before he suffers the barge to be taken.
A house to be built to secure the barge and the same be kept locked.
A man to be provided at wages not exceeding 6s a week to attend the Double Lock, and a sentinel box be provided for him immediately.
Mr Gleave to forward the cutting at Whitminster with all possible expedition.
Mr Gleave to have notice that we have no further use for him after Michaelmas.
Clerk to write to all those in dispute with the company to attend a meeting next Monday in order to treat with them.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursdy the 19^th Day of Aug^st 1779
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, William Knight, Thomas White. John Hollings, Fream Arundell, James Dallaway, Richard Bigland.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Order relative to M^r Chances Posts & Railes.
Agree'd that M^r White be paid Five Guineas and allow'd the Surplus stone at the Flood Gates, also some of the Stone on M^r Chances Land; in consideration of M^r Whites Building a Wall opposite the Flood Gates to secure his own Land.
Ordered that every Pleasure Boat Passing any of the Locks do Pay Twenty Shillings (except the Companys Barge) and that the same be advertised in the Glocester Journal.
Ordered that no Person whatever do make use of the Company's Barge without a Tickett signed by Three of the Committee for the time being, which Tickett shall be delivered to our Clerk before he suffers the Barge to be taken.
Ordered that a Hosue be Built to secure the Barge and that the same be kept Lock'd.
Ordered that a Man be provided at Wages no exceeding Six Shillings per Week to attend at the Double Lock and that a Centinel Box be provided for him imediately.
Ordered that M^r Gleave do forward the Cutting at Whitmister with all Possible expedition.
Ordered that M^r Gleave do have Notice given him that we shall have no further occasion for him after Michaelmas next.
Ordered that our Clerk do write to the several Persons with whom we have any Dispute for Land or Damages to desire they will attend a Meeting of the Committee on Monday next in order to treat and settle the same.
Ordered that every absent Member of the Committee be desired to attend the next Meeting.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Monday, 23^d Instant at Eleven o Clock in the forenoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
