Edward Keene to make foot bridge on Mr Chances land, including walls and backing, for 10 guineas, the company to find all materials.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Tuesday the 11^th of April 1780
Present: William Knight, James Dallaway, Thomas Baylis, John Allaway, John Hollings, Ben^m Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
The Committee have not yet staked out M^r Butchers Land.
The Brick Yard at Stonehouse is Sown.
The Ditch is made thro' M^r Cooks Land.
The Materials necessary to Erect the Foot Bridge are taken to M^r Chances Land.
Agree'd to let the Corner Piece of Land at Easton (lately purchased of M^r Ellis James) to John Lawrence for the term of three years from Lady Day last, in consideration of the Sum of One Shilling and Clearing the Ground and Seeding & laying down in the same in Pasture immediately, and not to Plow it any more during the said term.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Two Hundred and Eighty Seven Pounds.
Agreed with Ew^d Keene to make and fix up the Foot Bridge in M^r Chances Land, together with the Walls and Backing and all other Workmanship there to belonging so as to make the same Compleat for the Sum of Ten Guineas, the Company finding all Materials delivered on the Spott.
Ordered that our Clerk do apply to M^r Ballard to desire him to settle his Account before Thursday next.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Thursday the 13^th Instant at Ten o'Clock in the forenoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
