Treasurer to advance £500 on security.
Mr Keck to be asked for a plan of the Double Lock for Mr Franklin to copy.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 18^th of August 1780
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Fream Arundell, James Dallaway, Thomas White, Nathaniel Jones, Ben^m Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Order relative to M^r Butchers Land.
Continued the Order relative to the Wall for enclosing the Wharf.
Continued the Order relative to halling Earth to the Ryford.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath waited on M^r Chance; and M^r Chance proposes waiting on the next Committee.
Our Clerk Reported that M^r Chances Lands in Stonehouse Parish are Rated to the Land Tax at £4:6:4 per Annum at 4^s in y^e Pound.
M^r Halliday not being yett come home, Defferr'd waiting on him till a future Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath waited on our Treasurer Who hath procured Five Hundred Pounds on the Security of the Gentlemen named at the last Meeting.
Ordered a Bill be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Pounds.
Agreed with M^rs and M^r Ball for settling all Damages and Disputes now subsisting between them and the Company and Articles were accordingly executed for that Purpose by both Parties. Ordered that our Clerk do make applications to the several Arbritrators mentioned in the said Articles, and fix if Convenient to them to meet in order to decide this Business on Thursday the 7^th of September next.
Ordered that our Clerk do apply to M^r Keck for the Plan of the Double Lock and that M^r Franklin do take a Copy of the same.
Received the Deed of Conveyance for M^r Phillips Land from Mess^rs Lane & Jepson. Ordered that our Clerk do apply to Tho^s Pettat Esq^r to enquire if the Rev^d M^r Sandford is in the Country and if he can be found that our Clerk do waite on him with the Deed in order for him to execute the same.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Thursday the 7^th of September next at 6 o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
