An open drain is to be made at the foot of the bank in Pool Field to drain off excess water.
All obstructions in the canal are to be cleared before the water was turned in.
The Island at Chippenham Platt is to be let to Mr Bigland for seven years for rent of 10s per annum.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 9^th of August 1781
Present: Joseph Wathen, Fream Arundell, John Hollings, Nathaniel Jones, James Dallaway, Ben^m Grazebrook, Richard Bigland.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath inform'd M^r Halliday of the Meeting of the Committee, but M^r Halliday not attending, Ordered that he be inform'd of the next Meeting.
M^r King not attending. Ordered that our Clerk do inform him of the next Meeting and desire him to attend.
Notice has been given M^r Saunders agreeable to the order of the last Meeting.
Mess^rs Bough & Edge's Account is now settled and a Ballance of £57:13:3 appears due to him. Ordered that the said Ballance be paid and a full discharge taken for the same.
Ordered that an open Drain be made at the foot of the Bank in Pool Field, in order to Drain off the water that Isues from the Canal.
Ordered that all Obstructions in every part of the Canal be cleared before the Water is turn'd in.
Agreed to let the Island at Chippenhams Platt to M^r Bigland for Seven Years at the Rent of Ten Shillings per Annum to commence at Michaelmas next.
Adjourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 21^st Instant at Six o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
