Summary

Nathaniel Davies made application to buy the timber work of the old crane in Easton Meadows, exclusive of the wheels.
Samuel King to be allowed 30s to make a substantial fence from the bridge at Whitminster Lock to the rein ditch to fence the meadow.
An advertisement be put in Gloucester Journal informing the public that the canal is now open for the passage of barges.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 13^th of September 1781
Present: Joseph Wathen, James Dallaway, Thomas Baylis, John Allaway, Fream Arundell, Ben^m Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r Halliday attended the Committee and hath agree'd to Settle for his Land agreeable to our account, and hath settled the whole of his Damages at four Pounds, according to which there appears a Ballance of £12:10:7 due to him. Ordered that the said Ballance be paid him and a proper discharge taken for the same.
M^r King not attending, Ordered that our Clerk do once more desire him to attend the next Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath applied to the several Owners of Land in Pool Field, in consequence of which he has Rece'd a Letter from M^r Cambridge expressing his approbation of the intended Drain and thanking the Committee for taking the same into consideration; the other Proprietors (except M^r Stock) agree with M^r Cambridge, and no answer is Yet Rece'd from M^r Stock on the Subject. Ordered that the said Drain be imediately made.
The Trunk is put in agreeable to the order of last Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that Nath^l Davis hath made application to purchase the Timber work of the Old Crane in Easton Meadow exclusive of the Wheels, etc. Ordered Ben^n Pashley do Value the said Timber and that M^r Davis be offered the same at such Valuation.
Ordered that M^r Sam^l King be allow'd Thirty Shillings to make a good and Substantial Fence from the Bridge at Whitmister Lock to the Rein Ditch in order to fence the Meadow.
Ordered that an Advertisement be inserted in the Glocester Journal on Monday next, informing the Public that the Repairs are now completed and that the Canal is open for the Passage of Barges.
Ordered that the General half yearly Meeting be advertised to be held in the George Inn in Stroud on Thursday the 11^th of October next at Ten o'Clock in the Morning.
Adjourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 9^th of October next at Five o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
