Mr Hill requested a better fence from his bridge to the Rack hill gate. Company will not pay for improvement.
Ben Pashley ordered to provide a person to attend to the locks in his district during his illness.
All yearly tenants to pay the taxes for the lands they occupy.
At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 9^th of April 1782
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings.,Nathaniel Jones, Thomas Hayes, John Allaway, Fream Arundell, Ben^m Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r Turner is paid the several Sums Ordered at the last Meeting.
M^r Franklin is paid agreeable to the Order of last Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that he hath sent the state of the Case respecting M^r Knights Business to Mess^rs Lane & Jepson, in consequence of which M^r Jepson hath waited on M^r Knight, but nothing decisive being done, it was thought necessary to make him a Tender of £50 for his Land & Damages which is not accepted.
Read a Letter from M^r Hill requesting a better Fence from his Bridge to the Rack hill Gate. Ordered that our Clerk do inform M^r Hill that any addition to such fence do by no means belong to the Company.
Read a Letter from M^r W^m King proposing to leave his Damages, etc, which remain unsettled to M^r Hall and any Peron we shall appoint. Ordered that our Clerk do meet M^r Hall on the Business in order to settle the same.
Ordered that Ben^n Pashley do provide a person to attend the Locks in his district during his Illness, and also that he do pay the Taxes in future for the Premises in his possession.
Ordered that our Clerk do apply to M^r Samuel Webb and inform him that the Company expect to have an acknowledgement for the Road from his Land to the Wharf of one penny per annum during the time he shall continue to use the same, an agreement to be entered into for that purpose.
