Summary

Inspection on board the Company Barge.
Mr Jennings made application on behalf of John Mossley to stop proceeding against him for fishing in the canal. He will make such concessions as the committee think proper.
The leakage from the canal into Ryeford Mill is to be stopped.

At a Meeting of the Committee held by Adjournment on board the Companys Barge on the Stroud Canal on Tuesday the 9^th of September 1783
Present: Joseph Wathen, Nathaniel Winchcombe, Fream Arundell, Thomas White, Thomas Baylis, Nathaniel Jones, John Allaway, Ben^m Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r James's Business in not Yet Settled.
Our Clerk Reported that M^r W^m Jennings hath made application on behalf of Jn^o Mosley to request that a stop may be put to the proceedings going on against him for fishing in the Canal and that he will make such concessions as the Committee shall thing proper. Ordered that he be desired to attend the next Meeting.
Ordered that the Leakage from the Canal into the Ryford Mill be stoped.
Ordered that the General half yearly Meeting be advertised to be held at the Swan Inn in Strod the second Tuesday in October next.
Rece'd a Letter from M^r Stock dated the 31^st August last informing us that this Day would be convenient for him to meet the Committee at Framiload respecting treating for the Land he wish'd to purchase, in consequence of which we have taken a vies of the said Land and fixed the Value of them, bu M^r Stock not attending nothing further was done.
Adjourned this Meeting to Thursday the 9^th Octover next at five o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
