At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held by Adjournment at the George Inn at Stroud on Monday the 11^th of October 1784
Present: Jos: Wathen, Nathaniel Winchcombe, John Hollings, Fream Arundell, Thomas Baylis, Thomas White, James Dallaway, Ben^n Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
No answer Rece'd from M^r Samuel Kings.
Continued the order for new Roofing the Brewhouse at Framiload.
The addition is making to the House at Walbridge conformable to the order of last Meeting.
Our Clerk Reported that M^r Chance has given leave for M^r White to land his Wool on the bit of Land adjoining to the Lock at Dudbridge.
Ordered that our Clerk do inform M^r Sam^l King that in case he do not attend and settle for the Rent of the Land in his posession, that Mess^rs Lane & Jepson will have instructions to proceed against him.
M^r Colborne attended on behalf of M^rs Ann Clutterbuck, Widow of the late M^r Edmund Clutterbuck deceased and produced the Probate of the said M^r Clutterbucks Will, whereby he bequeathed one of his Shares in the Stroudwater Navigation (say No 118) unto the said Ann his Wife whose Claim is hereby allowed agreeable with the Act of Parliament.
M^r Colborne likewise attended on behalf of Miss Mary Clutterbuck Niece of the said M^r Clutterbuck deceased and produced the Probate of the said M^r Clutterbucks Will whereby he bequeathed one of his Shares in the Stroudwater Navigation (say No 119) unto the said Mary Clutterbuck his Niece whose Claim is hereby allow'd agreeable to the Act of Parliament.
Adjourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 12^th Instant at five O'Clock in the afternoon at the Swan Inn in Stroud.
