Summary

Death of Mr Knight. Mr Lane to ask his successors to fulfil obligation of bond.
Cross and fence to be made from canal to foot of bank to divide Mr Halliday's land from Mrs Phelps.
Mr Edward Hill requested a fence on the slope leading to his bridge. Clerk to get estimate from John Davis and Jonathan Lawrence for doing it with oak in strong rough manner, three rails on one quarter and a single rail on other three.
Bill for £10 7s for damages from Mr John Fryer. Overcharge. 5 guineas offered on his giving a receipt.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held by Adjournment at the George Inn at Stroud on Monday the 10^th of April 1786
Present: Joseph Wathen, Thomas Baylis, John Hollings, Ben^n Grazebrook, Nathaniel Winchcombe.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
M^r Knight being dead since the last Meeting, and no award having being made, Ordered that our Clerk do wait upon M^r Lane and desire him to make application to M^r Knights Successors to fulfill the Obligation of the Bond.
Ordered that a Cross Fence be made from the Canal to the foot pf the Bank to divide M^r Hallidays Land from M^rs Phelps.
M^r Ew^d Hill attended and desired to have a fence made on the Slope leading to his Bridge. Ordered that our Clerk do apply to Jn^o Davis and Jonothan Lawrence to make an Estimate of the expence of doing it with Oak in a strong rough manner three Rails on one quarter and a single Rail on the other three.
Ordered that M^r Franklins Bill be discharged.
Received a Bill from M^r John Fryer for Damages amounting to the sum of £10..7, which we think an overcharge. Ordered that our Clerk do make him an offer of five Guineas on his giving a Receipt in full for the same.
Adjourned this Meeting to tomorrow morning Ten o'Clock at the George Inn at Stroud.
