Summary

Mr Samuel King's complaint of damages caused by water from canal to be settled by arbitrator. Mr Winchcombe to apply to Mr Phillimore to desire him to attend when Committee goes down canal.
Mr Priddey to receive 5 guineas for surveys during junction of Thames & Severn Canal.

At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held by Adjournment at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 13^th of April 1789
Present: N Winchcombe, J Colborne, J Hollings, B Grazebrook, H Burgh, Jn^o Allaway.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
The Surveyors have taken a Survey of the Double Lock agreeable to the directions of the last Meeting and intend to make their Report before the General Meeting to Morrow.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of £133..14..7½ for the use of the Navigation.
M^r Colborne attended on behalf of Hester Ingham of the City of London Widow & made out her Claim to two Shares in the Stroudwater Navigation No 59 & 50 late the property of John Butt deceased by producing Letters of Administration of the Goods Chattles and Credits of the sain Jn^o Butt (who died Intestate) Granted by the Perogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury unto the said Hester Ingham, Sister of the said Jn^o Butt who is entitled to the said two Shares & the said Claim is hereby admitted accordingly.
M^r Sam^l King attended Complaining of Damages occasioned by water from the Canal & proposed leaving the same to be settled by such Person as the Committee shall approve.
Ordered that M^r Winchcombe be requested to apply to Jn^o Phillimore Esq^r to desire that he will attend for that purpose when the Committee goes down the Canal.
M^r Jn^o Priddey having sent an Account for taking various Surveys by order of the Committee at the time the Junction of the Thames & Severn Canal was first proposed, Ordered that the Sum of five Guineas be paid him as a Compensation for his trouble.
Adjourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 14^th Ins^t at Eleven o'Clock at the George Inn in Stroud.
