At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 12^th April 1790
Present: Nathaniel Winchcombe, Benj^n Grazebrook, John Hollings, Jos^h Grazebrook, Henry Burgh.
M^r Bigland not having given up the Island at Easton the same could not be let to Tho^s Banks agreeable to the Order of the last Meeting.
Ordered that Notice be given to M^r Bigland to pay £1..10 per Ann^m for the said Island in future.
Our Clerk reported that M^r Clews having left the Country he had no Opportunity of settling with him.
Our Clerk reported that he has waited on M^r Keck with the Account of the Repair of the Double Lock and has since rec^d a Letter which M^r Keck desires to be laid before the General Meeting but that the Committee have rec^d no answer.
Ordered that the Companys Boats be taken as soon as convenient to Broad Oak to be repair'd.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn upon the Treasurer for the Sum of One Hundred & thirteen Pounds, twelve Shillings & ten pence halfpenny for the Use of the Navigation.
M^r Winchcombe having laid before this Committee a Letter from M^r Cambridge relative to M^r Sam^l Kings Damages Resoled that the Company are & always have been desirous to give him every reasonable Satisfaction, and that our Clerk do furnish M^r Winchcombe with Copies of the Respective Orders made concerning the same, so as to enable him to give M^r Cambridge every information on the Business.
Ordered that the Canal at Framiload be cleaned of the Mud the first Opportunity.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Tuesday the 13^th Ins^t at Ten o'Clock in the forenoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
