General Half Yearly Meeting. Tonnage £576 13s 11d. Balance £540 17s 7d. Coal to be purchased using balance in hand.
In future no person or persons allowed to discharge or take on cargoes while they remain in the locks. Penalty 40s each offence. Resolution to be considered as a Byelaw.
All firewood to be carried on canal on paying tonnage of 1s.
Mr Lewis to pay 5s per annum for 30 year lease [on orchard].
At a General Half Yearly Meeting of the Proprietors of the Stroudwater Navigation held this Eleventh Day of October 1791 at the George Inn in Stroud

The Minutes of the last General Meeting were Read & Confirm'd.
The several Books and Accounts were produced respecting the Affairs of the Company as directed by the Act of Parliament and Examined and Confirmed.
It appears by the Accounts that the Sumof 576^£..13^s..11^d has been received for Tonnage from the 12^th of April last to this day a part of which has been appropriated to the Payment of the last Dividend other part thereof have been expended in the Payment of Debts, Wages, etc there remains a Ballance in hand of £540..17^s..7^d.
Ordered that the Clerk under the Directions of the Committee do purchase Coals to the amount of the Ballance now in hand.
Whereas many Inconveniences have arisen from Vessells unloading their cargoes in the Locks upon the Canal, and Damage may in consequence arrise. Resolved and we hereby Order that no person or persons in future shall be permitted to discharge or take in their Cargoes or Cargoes of any Vessel or Vessels whatsoever or any part thereof whilst they remain in the said Locks under the Penalty of 40^s for each and every such Offence, and that this Resolution be fairly drawn out and considered as a Bye Law under the Powers of the Act of Parliament and that the Seal of the Company be affix'd to the same and that proper Notice be placed at the Entrance of the Canal.
That all Fire Wood shall be permitted to be carried on the Canal paying a Tonnage of 1^s.
The Committee is empowered to grant a Lease to Tho^s Lewis for the Term of Thirty Years upon his paying 5^s per Annum upon the Condition of his keeping the Wares in such Repair as the Committee shall see fit.
