Repairs to rails, bridge and wing walls completed.
Wing walls of Blunder Lock to be taken down and repaired.
Mr Sam Baylis to pay arrears of tonnage and in future to pay when cheques delivered.
Samuel Wathen Esq claimed shares nos.75,36,37,38 will of Obadiah Paul.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 20^th of Aug^t 1792
Present: Nathaniel Winchcombe, John Hollings, Benj^n Grazebrook, Henry Burgh, Jos^h Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Our Clerk reported that the Rails round the Piece of Land at Dudbridge rented by M^r Keene is repair'd. Also that the sides of the Bridge at Chip^s Platt is raised. Likewise the Wing Walls of the Lower Lock is repair'd agreeable to the Order of the last Meeting. Our Clerk reported that the Lock Gates are repairing and will soon be finished.
Ordered that the Wing Walls of the Blunder Lock be immediately taken down and repair'd.
Ordered that M^r Sam^l Baylis do immediately pay up the Arrears of Tonnage already rec'd by him and in future pay the same when the Cheques are delivered.
M^r Henry Burgh attended on Behalf of Sam^l Wathen Esq^r and made out his Claims to four Shares N^o 75, 36, 37, 30 in the Stroudwater Navigation late the Property of M^r Obidiah Paul deceased by producing the Probate of the Will of the said Obidiah Paul bearing date the 22^nd of Octo^r 1789 and duly proved in the Perogative Court of the ArchBishop of Canterbury the 1^st of March 1792 by the said Sam^l Wathen as Executor and the said Claim is hereby admitted accordingly.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Monday the 8^th of Octo^r next at two o'Clock in the afternoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
