At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 8^th of April 1793
Present: Nathaniel Winchcombe, Rich^d Pettat, Jn^o Hollings, Benj^n Grazebrook, Jn^o Allaway, Jos^h Grazebrook, Henry Burgh.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
The Order continued for filling up the Bason at Walbridge. Also the Saw Pit at Chip^ms Platt to be done immediately.
Ordered that the Wall at Dudbridge be finished immediately.
Agreed with Will^m Beard for one Year at the Wages of 15^s per Week. Sam^l Beard for one Year at the Wages of 10^s per week.
Will^m Drew of the Parish of Painswick in the County of Glocester Gentleman attended and made out his Claim to one Share N^o 89 late the property of Rich^s Gabb deceased by producing the Probate of the Will of the said Rich^d Gabb bearing Date of 21^st day of March 1789 and duly proved in the in the Consistory Court of the Right Rev^d the Lord Bishop of Gloucester the 19^th of Sep 1792 by the said W^m Drew as sole Executor and the said Claim is hereby admitted.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurers for the Sum of One Hundred thirty nine Pounds four Shillings & ten pence half penny for the Use of the Navigation.
Adjourned this Meeting to Tuesday the 9^th Inst at 11 o Clock in the forenoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
