At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigatin held at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 7^th of Octo^r 1793
Present: John Hollings, Rich^d Pettat, Henry Burgh, Benj^n Grazebrook, John Allaway, Jos^h Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Will^m Beard reported that such part of the Drain thro' M^r Kings Land, which belong to the Company is properly Cleared, but the other part belonging to M^r King is not so, and that the part belonging to M^r Souls is entirely choaked up. Ordered that our Clerk to apply to M^r King & M^r Souls to properly cleanse their Drains to render effective what has already been done by the Company.
The Men are proceeding in the draining at B Road as fast as they can.
The several Workmen not having begun the Warehouse at Framiload, and the season being so far advanced, Ordered that the same be postponed to a future time and that the Men have Notice not to proceed till further orders.
M^r Hogg having applied for leave to make use of the waste Water running over the Whares at M^r Lewis's at Ebley, Agreed that he may make such use of it as he shall think proper, provided he does no Injury to the Canal or any of the Works belonging thereto or devert the same from its usual Course to the Mills.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurers for the sum of Four Hundred & two Pounds four Shillings & 8½^d for the use of the Navigation.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Tuesday the 8^th Ins^t at 11 o'Clock in the forenoon at the George Inn in Stroud.
