William Beard to purchase oak timbers for use of Navigation.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 11^th of April 1796
Present: Sam^l Wathen, Jos^h Grazebrook, Rev^d W^m Ellis, Rowles Scudamore, Benj^n Grazebrook, Sam^l Smith, Jn^o Allaway.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Our Clerk reported that M^r Cookes drain is nearly compleated.
Continued the order respecting the waste water at M^r Hoggs also the order for a Pair of Gates at Dudbridge Wharf.
Ordered that W^m Beard be directed to purchase some Oak Timber for the use of the Navigation.
Ordered a Bill to be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Four Hundred & Sixty nine Pounds five Shillings and nine pence for the use of the Navigation.
