At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 18^th of April 1796
Present: Rev^d W^m Ellis, Nath^l Wathen, Jn^o Allaway, Rowles Scudamore, Jos^h Grazebrook.
Read the Minutes of the last Committee and General Meetings.
Our Clerk reported that M^r Cookes Drain is compleated.
Continued the Order respecting the waste water at M^r Hoggs also the order for a Pair of Gates at Dudbridge Wharf.
Continued the order for W^m Beards purchasing Oak Timber for the use of the Navigation.
The Committee have appointed M^r S Baylis in the Office of 2^nd Clerk till the 7^th of June next on condition of his paying due attention to the Interest of the Company. Adjourn'd this Meeting to Monday the 7^th of June next at 8 o Clock in the morning on board the Company's Barge.
