At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the George Inn in Stroud on Monday the 10^th of October 1796
Present: Rev^d W^m Ellis, Joseph Grazebrooke, Josiah Isles Wathen, Rowles Scudamore, Jn^o Allaway, Sam^l Wathen.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
It being reported by our Clerk that M^r Hogg has taken no steps in pursuance of our Notice to him on the subject of repairing the banks of the Canal, contiguous to his Culvert, Ordered that the Companys Servants do immediatley repair the Banks of the Canal there, and that our Clerk do again call upon M^r Hogg to fulfill his engagement to erect Floodgates as specified in our Order of July 1795.
Ordered that a Bow Window be erected in Camms House at Walbridge according to a Plan and Estimate now produced by W^m Franklin.
M^r Hicks attended complaining that the Companys Servants supplied the Canal with Water from the river more abundantly than the exigences of the Canal required. Our Committee gave particular direction to the Companys servants to make as economical use of the water as might be consistently with the necessary use of the Canal.
Ordered that a Bill be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Four Hundred & fifty four Pounds Sixteen Shillings & eleven pence for the use of the Navigation.
