Weir between canal and Ebley Mill to be immediately repaired and weir boards completed, repaired and locked down. Thomas Lewis, lock keeper, instructed to raise them only when necessary for feeding canal and keep them locked down and kept in his possession.
Dwarf brick wall to be built across front of house to separate garden from wharf.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee Room at Walbridge on Tuesday the 18^th of April 1797
Present: J I Wathen, Jos^h Grazebrooke, Nath^l Wathen, Rowles Scudamore, Rev^d W^m Ellis, Benj^n Grazebrooke, Tho^s Grazebrooke.
Read the Minutes of the last Committee and General Meetings.
Ordered that the Wear between the Canal and Ebley Mill Pond be immediatly repaired and the Wear boards put in compleat repair and locked down agreeable to the directions of the General Meeting.
Tho^s Lewis our lock keeper attended and received particular Instructions to raise them only at such times as may be necessary for the purpose of feeding the Canal, and to take care that at all other times they are locked down and the Key kept in his possession.
Ordered that a dwarf Brick Wall accross the front of the House to separate the Garden from the Wharf be built under the direction of the Committee.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Monday the fifth of June next at 8 o'Clock in the forenoon on board the Company's Barge.
