At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee room in Walbridge on Monday the 15^th July 1799
Present: Rev^d Jos^h Colborne, Jn^o Allaway, Nath'l Wathen, Ew^D Wood, Rowles Scudamore, Nath^l Jones, Jos^h Grazebrooke.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Order respecting the Shed at Tho^s Lewis's House as well as for the building of the Boat agreeably with the order of last Meeting. Also all other repairs necessary to be made on the Navigation.
Our Clerk reported that W^m Beard has contracted for some Oak Timber nearly to the amount of 60^£.
Our Clerk reported that many Persons have lately been seen Angling in the Canal without any friction(?) of right so to do. Ordered that Notice be given by Advertisement and Hand Bills that Actions or other Prosecutions will be forthwith commenced against all such Persons offending in future.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Monday the 12^th of August next at half after 5 o'Clock in the afternoon at the Committee room at Walbridge.
