At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held on Board of the Companys Barge on Thursday the 1^st of May 1800
Present: Rev^d Will^m Ellis, Ew^d Wood, Rev^d Jos^h Colborne, Row^s Scudamore, Sam^l Wathen, Nath^l Jones, Jos^h Grazebrooke.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Order respecting the Warehouse at Bristol Road.
The Committee having taken a View of the Wharf at Framiload, direct their Clerk to propose to the Thames and Severn Canal Company to let that part of it between the back of the Warehouse and the Severn, for the purpose of Landing Newport Coad, for any Sum not exceeding Seven Years, at the rent of 10^s per Annum on Condition of their sparing to this Company at prime Cost, from time to time as they may have Occasion for them, half the quantity of Coals, which may be on the Wharf so that the quantity so spared does not at any time exceed five hundred Tons.
Tho^S Cooke attended to receive instructions relative to rebuilding the Blunder Lock, the terms of the Contract being settled, it is Ordered that an Agreement be forthwith entered into to secure the performance thereof. ~~ Adjourn'd this Meeting to Tuesday the 17^th of June next at 5 o'Clock in the Afternoon at the Committee room at Walbridge.
