At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee room at Walbridge on Monday the 12^th of Octo^r 1801
Present: Sam^l Wathen, Nath^l Wathen, Rev^d W^m Ellis, Jn^o Allaway, Rev^d Jos^h Colborne, Ew^d Wood, Benj^n Grazebrooke, Nath^l Jones.
Read the Minutes of the last Meeting.
Continued the Orders unexecuted of the 2^nd of June last.
M^r Nath^l Wathen attended on behalf of the Rev^d Willm Ellis of Stroud and M^r Sam^l Ellis of Queen Street London and made out their Calims to two Shares in the Stroudwater Navigation N^o 82, 83 late the Property of M^rs Ann Wathen of Brimscombe for the Term of her natural life by producing the Probate of the Will of the late M^r Will^m Wathen bearing date the 4^th April 1788 and duly proved in the Perogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury 31^st July 1789 wereby the said Rev^d Will^m Ellis and Sam^l Ellis are left Legatees of the above shares in reversion, and their Claims are hereby admitted.
M^r Harris produced the Probate of the Will of the late M^r Will^m Sevill of Tydenham in the Parish of Bisley dated 7^th Dec^r 1798, at the request of William Sevill claimant, Son of the aforesaid William Sevill which said Will has been regularly proved in the Perogative Court of the Archbishop of Canterbury on the 3^rd of August 1801 whereby the said William Sevill Jun^r is sole Executor & residuary Legatee, and his Claim is hereby admitted.
An application having been made by M^r Tho^s Croome on the part of M^r Harris of Stonehouse for the purpose of enquiring whether the Company were disposed to sell the Willow Trees growing on the Land adjoining his, Order that an admeasurement and estimate be made of their value and that an answer be returned to M^r Harris after the next Meeting of the Committee when such information shall have been laid before them
Ordered that a Bill be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Five Hundred and Fifty seven Pounds thirteen Shillings and three pence for the use of the Navigation.
Adjourn'd this Meeting to Monday the 23^rd of November next at 3 o'Clock in the Afternoon.
