Rev Joseph Colborne reported that Messrs Whitcombe, Griffiths & Co informed him that no Bill for erection of new bridge at West Gate Street, Gloucester, was pending. They would inform Chairman immediately of any circumstance tending to injure interests of Stroud Canal Company.
At a Meeting of the Committee of the Stroudwater Navigation held at the Committee room at Walbridge on Monday the 11^th of April 1803

Continued the Orders unexecuted of the 3^rd June last.
The Reb^d Jos^h Colborne reported that he had attended upon Mess^rs Whitcombe, Griffiths & Co respecting the erection of a New Bridge at the West Gate Street Glocester, who informed him that no Bill for that purpose was pending before the House of Commons but should any Circumstance be brought forward which might tend to injure the Interest of the Stroud Canal Company they would inform the Chairman immediatly. Ordered that a Bill be drawn on the Treasurer for the Sum of Three Hundred and twelve Pounds, six Shillings and one penny for the use of the Navigation.
Ordered that the Wages of Tho^S Beard be advanced to 12^s per Week.
